This time, it was Rachel 8, earthquake nothing.  Disappointed.  Eight’s important, but breaking news is just that and a lot of Haiti seems broken.

In the light of a new day, come to find out the earthquake wasn’t an ordinary disaster after all.  It was more correctly one of the greatest natural disasters in the history of mankind – possibly deaths in the six figure range and the complete physical destruction of a city of 3 million, plus – none of which apparently compares to the suffering of Prop. 8 afflicted lesbians, who don’t have governmental approval of their marriage, which is about a 2 on the Richter scale, if you will, while Haiti is a ten plus.  Shame, Rachel!

At about 8:15, the KTLA copter guy found a wrecked car precipitously dangling over the edge of a cliff, supported by only a tree and a 74-year-old victim trapped inside.  As the brave firefighters and rescue people worked feverishly to extract the victim and prevent the further slide of a car into a deep reservoir where the victim would certainly suffer even more…KTLA went to Sports Lodge!

They returned to the breaking news and the rescue continued with firefighters attempting to get the victim out…on live TV…and KTLA went to Lesbians!

While the victim was finally extracted, both KTLA and KTTV which had picked up the coverage about a half hour later…went to Long Commerical Breaks!  By the time all of this important stuff was concluded, the man had been extracted, but KTLA and KTTV missed showing the live…NEWS!

But we did get the uninterrupted Sports Lodge, Lesbians and Commercials…no problem, you betchum!

Just be aware, the only folks who went to the Rory Markas story on my blog were those who thought it was spelled Rory Marcus.  So who am I to stop the fickle finger of misspelled fate?  Better to pander to those who can’t spell – you the reader.  So if you’re reading this, you didn’t take the trouble to figure out how to spell a simple name.  Tich tich.

Second thought: maybe you all work or more likely intern at Fox 11 in L.A.

So, everyone’s down at the mouth, we miss Rory, a tragic loss, not just for baseball, but for humanity in general, not just for the Angels at Anaheim, but for the entire sport of baseball, not just to Fox TV, but for broadcasting and cable casting in general, not just for guys with hard to spell ethnic names in general…which leads us to what appeared on the screen courtesy computer generated graphics (CG) – “Rory Marcus”!!!

In less than a minute, down goes the “Marcus” – up comes the “Roary Marcus” (just kidding about that), they actually got it right the second time, “Rory Markas.” That’s what you get for putting interns on the CG, Fox!

P.S. Looking at the photo, was Rory the long lost twin of fellow Fox-er Glenn Beck?

Twice, when Sister Sarah was asked about Iran, she made references to Iraq, proving Hannity, who didn’t correct her either time, wasn’t listening and she’s either too stupid, lazy, doesn’t care or all or any of the above.

Sarah, try to remember.  Iran is Iran; Iraq is Iraq.  Different countries, though separated only by one letter, it’s an important distinction.

Good part.  Her book tour was way overshadowed this morning by the Chastity to Chaz Bono sex change tour of the morning talk shows.

Rush Limbaugh has a chance to critique our prexy today, but first must find an Obama connection, which may be hard to pull off…

If he could, it would go something like this – “With a nation in mourning, flags at half-staff all over Texas, military bases, the Capitol and even the White House – what possible excuse do the Yankees have to celebrate in the streets of New York while the rest of the nation mourns?”

(fill in connection between Obama and the Yankees here – if it were the White Sox, it would be a gimme).

“I have no reason to doubt he wasn’t born in the U.S…”

Once this mangled sentence is sorted out, through the process of double – or triple – negatives, Michele Bachmann clearly became a Birther…and a loopy one at that…makes the craziest of them look half way normal…should they return her COD to the conspiratorial hole whence she came?

Except it never happened.  The finger was brought in as Mr. No Finger was being treated and he declined its reattachment, fearing infection and it wasn’t on his dominant hand.

It was just the tip of the iceberg, as it were, as the host fell for the fake story, hook, line and finger.

Next time Steyn is on, call him with some fake story and he’ll swallow it on-air from the tip on down.
